Miho works at the orphanage where Seiya and his sister Seika lived before Seiya was taken away. In a sense she represents the point of view of the normal people who are mere witnesses to the struggle of the Saints. She and Seiya have known each other since they were very small, and Seiya comes to visit her and the children of the orphanage whenever he gets a rest from his duties as a Saint.
