I personally prefer the original Dragonball over DBZ. Then again, DBZ always has a special place in my childhood. I never got to watch much of it as a kid. Got sick and tired of all the Super Seiya-jin Level 3 or 4+ craziness. At least in DB, the fights seemed more down to earth, competitive and unpredictable. DBZ was so painful and disappointing when all the old characters (Tenshinhan, Chaozu, Krillin, etc.) just plain sucked and couldn't lift a finger against any of the bad guys. It made me wonder why the hell do they even bother fighting?
I like Vegeta, he is pretty badass... but did he ever catch up to Goku at the end of DBZ? Fail.
What's odd is how much they changed the soundtrack in the U.S. version to heavy rock, while the Japanese version was more orchestrated. I mean, I understand the english version came out many many years later and needed a "modern" update to appeal to the Western audience, but I can't say if I have a preference. I don't prefer dubs usually.
I won't even bother watching DBGT if it's that bad.
Was anyone else really pissed they made the stupid live action Dragonball movie? What a waste.

I haven't seen the live action movie or GT, so I guess I won't watch them if they're that bad.  But I'd really like to see the original Dragonball series.  |

Hehe, I loved Gohan against Cell.  I liked also Tien Shinhan, Krillin and Goku. I just wish Bulma hadn't changed boyfriend because I hated it when she ended up with Vegeta.  I liked Trunks, though... |
