Ahh Surfer Hyoga. Good Times. Good Times.

Think of me as your personal ice age, baby. ;)

 Mwuahaha

Eh he doesn't fit anywhere really...that's his voice pretty much everytime...that's why you feel so uncomfortable xD. Unless you actually didn't like Kouga.I don't like Midorikawa or Kouga...the character dis likeness doesn't come from the seiyuu at all because I liked Heero Yuy in GW and Toshi Tanaka in Aoki Densetsu Shoot! but I never liked the voice they had...it's like they caught cold or something...he was good only as Naoki in Shin Seiki GPX Cyber Formula..I give him that but probably because he sounded more mature..maybe that's the reason...he fails to voice kids..

Anything is better than the "Seiya-Ichigo". His seiyuu in which I don't remember the name now did a good job with Ryuji, though.

Was that an actual thing? WTF?!

Enjoy the DIC english dub lamest moments. Forget the Portuguese talk from the  brazilian reviewer and just jump to the scenes. This is pair with the "Street Fighter Stupidity" collection from the american cartoon at YouTube!  ;D  :D

Oh my god... I have no words... except for "WTF was that???". When I heard Ikki's voice I literally yelled out "what the f**k" and disturbed everyone... lol. Also, that song... was that supposed to be the opening or something because that was really bad... although when I heard "Aurora Borealis" I immediately thought of Isaac and thought "he has absolutely nothing to do with the arc you just advertised!!"...

Thanks for the good luck, though. I feel like I definitely needed it...

Also, did they call Athena/Saori a princess? Because I'm pretty sure I heard the word 'princess' thrown in there...

I'm not even finished the first one yet and there are tears everywhere...
Athena... help me...
And here you have one of my very lame Saint Seiya reference jokes...

Edit: They changed Saori to Sienna... wtf. Although Ikki's voice was hilariously bad... and Shun sounded like he had some sort of stereotypical accent of some sort at times. At least I now know what you all meant by 'Surfer Hyoga'...

I will admit though, some of the lines were actually pretty funny...
You can just call me Yagi.

So what are the subtitles and translations for this release so far, to those who cannot watch them from other countries ? Same as the latest DVD collection, I assume? I would also believe all names are more or less intact.

I don't think there was ever a huge stink over it like there was with DBZ Kai.  I've just seem some people remark about it.

I guess it's the same subs from the recent Sanctuary Collection, since there's 73 episodes.

Right. It's the same as the Amazon Instant Video version, so the subs are actually good.

I can't say it's good because I haven't watched it, but... by judging from the screenshots there (like the "feel the universe" dialogue), I thought ADV version is way better and sounds more fluid in english. At the same time, ADV does a good job being more or less faithful with Japanese language.

I'm afraid this whole New Video Group - Amazon/Hulu things turns away Crunchy from putting their hands on Saint Seiya.

Possibly, but I think that NVG does an okay job. From what I could tell, this is their first time subbing a show. It's not going to be perfect.
