My newest gem, a tattoo of Hyoga (and now Hagen)
« on: April 16, 2013, 04:41:33 AM »
Not really a `toy` per se off course, but I figures this might be the best place to show off my newest addition to my Saint Seiya `collection`

I`ll post a better picture in a few weeks, as this one was taken 15 minutes ago, straight off the tattoo chair over at John `G` of Krijos, and off course still features wound fluids, ink sweating and (unfortunatly red and not blue) blood, while the colours still have to `set in` over the comming weeks.

And the date has been set for part 2 of what is going to become a 3-piece Saint Seiya sleeve, next year in april Hagen of Merak or Jabu of Unicorn will join the Cygnus saint on my body.

I hope you do post a better picture in the future, because as it is the tattoo looks a little off, his skin looks orange and I can't see the face detail that much. Could be just the photo. (I'm very picky about tattoo quality so ignore this comment if you don't like it)

There will be, that one was taken 15 minutes after comming out the chair, so the colours still needed to 'cool down' and the odd retouch left and right once it stopped 'healing'

So do we get a pic after all these months? I'd love to see the finished product, that's just awesome.

Part two has been added, now the colours still need to `sink in` making the eyes finer (paint heaping) and the blue fading more to `bley`.

Also the first lines are already set for the contours when the `Fire and Ice` background will be added (somewhere between december and april 2015, depending boss cooperation), which is going to have both Saints stand out more and `connect the dots`

Et voila, the skin tone has settled down to less orangy, and the `bley` on the armour panels (the same colour as Hagen now) has cooled to a nice greyish tone without getting to dull, in order to have contrast when the whole shabang gets sleeved in next time with a black / light grey background of ice crystals at Hyoga`s side and flames at Hagen`s side

How does it feel to have someone on your arms? xD

Anyway, I have to ask, why did you pick the early version of the series for Hyoga? anime wise with Hagen the revived Bronze Cloth fits better with the theme but I am guessing that you like the early version more?

I`ve always found it prettier, with the fuller waist piece and the blue underclothing
