Age of consent in China is 14.
Back on the "4 years discussion", Kurumada should just say that ND occurs 4 years after Hades, that way it would explain why the Shun (and most likely Hyoga and Shiryu) doesn't seem as strong as he was at the end of the original manga. They got rusty after years living peacefully (basically the same excuse used in DBZ after the Cell saga) |

Nachi: Uhm, but immediately after that, there's this kind of emergency situation... The word Nachi used was "直後" which translates to "immediately following, Immediately [Directly] after," an event. And it makes no sense for Dohko to declare the emergency for the Gold Saints not to move if the event happens 4 years later... ND's year is just a ret-con. To justify it, at least Masami should say something in his webpage...  "Chyokugo", that makes sense. It really could be an word they let out on the translation. Or they could think it was implicit on the plot. Well, it depends. Here in Brazil it's Ilegal sex with under 16 yo, a 16 yo here can vote, have some rights, resposabilities and are considered enought mature to know what is going on and what to do and the consequences that it can bring. But a 16 yo can't drive or be responsable for crimes or bad attitudes they've commited it falls upon their folks, I always thoght it is kind of a contradicrion. That reminds me that on 6th or 7th grade (that here we are between 14 yo and 15 yo) there was that one girl that got pregnand, it's comom here in poor families see these things. Not her case, but was an exemple. |

Shiryu is 14, and Shunrei is probably near that as well. Plus, they live in the middle of the mountains. Not exactly a lot of law to deal with. And yeah, the Viz translation gives me:
Nachi: She was wiped out from her battle against Poseidon.
Ichi: That's right. She took on all the rain that was supposed to fall on the Earth. She may be a goddess, but her body is still mortal. I'm so glad she made it through.
Nachi: Yeah, but we went into a state of emergency right after that...
It really is a pretty good translation (though, I'd love a reprint in the Vizbig format of 3 volumes in 1, a bigger print, and the color pages, and change the few dub terms they kept from back when the anime was still airing).

The colored pages are a fan dream I have since the first publishing of the series here. But they always explain to fans that they could not have access to the material, the same in this republishing ongoing with a basis on the japanese original manga (but bringing back wrong terms from the first dub of the anime in 1994, like 'venha cobra = come snake' to 'Thunder Claw' and 'Me Dê Sua Força Pégaso = Gimme Your Strenght Pegasus' to 'Pegasus Ryuusei Ken = Pegasus Punch meteor' that was corrected on the first publishing). They said once that material was declared lost by the Shueisha, what turned out as Conrad lie to fans with the new kazenban release in Japan.
Unfortunately we can't run from terms that made the series a great success on the ocident like 'knights' in spite of 'saints' and 'armors' in spite of 'cloths', I know that the US version of the series was with the original ones that I preffer so much than this other ones. Hear/read 'knight' bugs me so much. =/
At least we have ND colored being published around here quite the same time as the Tankohons in Japan, but with the wrost paper ever and not with a hardcover. Nothing is perfect.

That one behind everyone turned back to us is Izo, isn't he? Periodicity is the bad thing about Kurimada's works. It's by semester seasons, if he don't get late, sick or something like that we saw many times.  |

Heh, for SS in general or ND only? Well, my account at DeviantArt is like FLOODED with SS FanArts and Recolor everyday, and I only watch a few SS Groups.  Dun dare to touch Doujinshi yet as the Japanese ones tend to be Ex. on eBay (still LOVE the ones Mzelda and Zaonic gave me, my first SS Doujinshis!  ) |

Is Shiryu still Blind on ND?
Funny that Hyoga whose eyes got like poke out, got it back but Shiryu whose retina or something was burned in Poseidon Chapter did get back his sight after Hades Chapter?
Dun tell me making babies is the cause of his lost of sight again......
Well, Isaac did say that Hyoga only ended up grazing his retina, or something like that. Shiryu's nerves were overloaded, so who knows if he'll ever see again. I also noticed that we'll be getting more of Shijima and Athena in the Pope's Chamber and I think Suikyo's up to something. |
