This was a great improvement on the last few episodes! But there better be a good explanation for why the Libra Cloth went off with Genbu instead of staying with Shiryu. Not cool. At least Shiryu is still badass enough to send Genbu off before he kicked the new bronzies' butts. Shiryu cannot wear a Cloth anymore, just like Shun, so the Libra Cloth looked for someone else and it ended up acknowledging Genbu's power. And it was pretty funny when Shiryu burned his cosmo he broke his eye bandage/cover thing instead of his shirt. :-) Shunrei would give him hell if he did. He's a father now, he has to set a better example for Ryuho.

but I find it hard to believe that the Libra cloth would go to soemone with evil intentions. Maybe this just means genbu has good in him and Libra cloth cna tell he will eventually be a true saint. I know you mentioned a few other Gold cloth's but none of them knew the Gold saints were against Athena and when the cancer cloth found out it abandoned its master.

*Points at Pisces Cardinale* The way I see it, the Cloths have no problem following someone unless they actually commit a truly despicable action... Which obviously has to be worse than attacking another Saint. But I agree that Genbu might not be 100% evil. He did seemed to have some respect for Shiryu.

Yeah, Genbu has that "I'm the cool, hip badass dude" look, with his biker jacket and jeans. The Libra Cloth probably saw good potential in him and knew he'll eventually help the bronzies out.
OR, Mars is powering all the gold cloths now with his newfound dictatorship of Sanctuary. Maybe Shiryu's cosmos was shielding the Libra Cloth from being influenced by Mars' energy, but it weakened when he went all out to help Ryuho twice. I mean, he was already half covered in darkness in the Ryuho training flashback, I can't imagine how far gone is he by now. Especially after channeling it one more time to scare off Genbu.
Man, we need more episodes like this.

The rule that Cloths abandon an evil Saint is pretty blurry. I've always got the feeling Kurumada made it up to justify Shiryu beating Deathmask, but hadn't really thought about it before, or since.
We have DM killing countless people for years. Saga revolting over Athena for 13 years. Tramy, Shaina and Damian all attacking Saori at different times. Argor turning innocent people in stone and smashing them to bits. Shura and Aphrodite following Saga even when they know he's evil. And so on
There are ways to work around it, for example Athena's will may be weaker in Silver Cloths, or Saga's Cloth may sense his goodness and suffering, but it's never really so clear cut that we can predict if a Cloth is going to leave. Cardinale seems evil, and so is Ionia, but they still wear their armours.

I guess if I were a cloth, I'd want to be cool, hip, and badass lol. For me it wasn't so much that the Libra Cloth went off with Genbu as it was about the Libra Cloth abandoning Shiryu. Even if Shiryu can't wear a Cloth, I feel like some loyalty is owed pah. The rule that Cloths abandon an evil Saint is pretty blurry. So many things make sense when I consider that Kurumada makes crap up in an attempt to fill plotholes or potential ones.

The cloth leaving you if you evil has been a blurry thing indeed and you all gave good examples so need to repeat them. Marin mentioned that each saint has a guardian constellation that they were born under and will be there cloth. Seiya never really used the sagittarius cloth without sometype of consent. Aioria even told him it was borrowed because he was fight for a just cause. During the posideon and hades they all said that the golds are "lending their power". I figure the Sagittarius cloth has acknowledge Seiya as the next wearer even though he was born under the Pegasus constellation. Shiryu is pretty much just a shell with a huge cosmo ansd his son is the new dragon saint. Libra was just "lent" to him when he needed it and was probably never raised to the rank of a gold saint with seiya. Hyoga is still yet to be seen. Most likely Genbu is truely the next Libra saint and maybe Mars' cosmo is effecting that outcome but for now he has it fair and square, so to say.

I figure the Sagittarius cloth has acknowledge Seiya as the next wearer even though he was born under the Pegasus constellation. Seiya was also born under the Sagittarius constellation because that's he's sign. He just simply started out as a Bronze Saint, just like Dohko and Shion. Libra was just "lent" to him when he needed it and was probably never raised to the rank of a gold saint with seiya.
Shiryu was never the Libra Saint (officially). In Shun's flashback we see that during the first battle with Mars when they received the dark wounds, he was still the Dragon Saint. For me it wasn't so much that the Libra Cloth went off with Genbu as it was about the Libra Cloth abandoning Shiryu. Even if Shiryu can't wear a Cloth, I feel like some loyalty is owed pah. The Libra cloth doesn't really owe anything to Shiryu. He was never its owner. The Libra Cloth chose Genbu after being vacant for all these years.
