Yep that's Tamora Pierce's book and I love it too! I have most of her books, they just happen to behind other books and hidden from sight. I've been a fan of her's for years so I had to pick Terrier up the moment it came out.

I knew that Terrier was part of a trilogy, but I didn't know that the other two.

As Indonesian citizen, I sure have missed a lot of good English literature out there No, never heard of Tamora Pierce... But if u guys like her, then she must be good. I thought she's a HE from the name... (duh!) Tamora, sounds like Japanese?

I'll agree with you about "For the Will of the Empress". It felt like I as jumping in during the middle of a series when I picked it up, and because of that I couldn't into the book until the end.
