...Ok , folks...Since the first episode of Omega serie I have had bad feeling about this project... the whole show is just a crap, there is no excuse for such a cheap animation, lack of detail , stupid screenplay.....and dehonesting the good name of Saint Seiya... I mean , I know the whole show is focused on very young audience(5-10 yo??)... but it is still crap and even the kids must recognize the huge downfall between SS hades-sanctuary and this immature cheesy fairytale...or whatever You wanna call it, cause even Bakugan/Pokemon seems to have more complicated story and characters............ so I tried to find out why most of us still watching Omega..??.....Bacause we really loved the THE REAL Saint Seiya and still have the shards of nostalgic memories in our hearts....we wanna see the old heroes even for couple of seconds...we wanna hope the story will get better or at least start make sense.... BUT believe me.... This is not gonna happen.... Sad to admit, SS is dead..... and this Omega crap is not worth of bearing its name.....

Lost Canvas was the best thing to ever happen to Saint Seiya, its a shame that didnt get another season and we got this.
As far as Omega go, its not as bad as I imagined it would be, it does have some good points. The thing that really irks be about it though is the fact that its doing everything that I hated about the original SS, where all the saints are idiots and gets manipulated into fighting 4-6 bronze saint main characters, and always ends up getting killed by the GOOD GUYS instead of being useful against the bad guys.
Thats why I liked Lost Canvas so much, all the Saints were aactually, you know, good guys, and they all fought their battles and served a purpose in the grand scheme.
I'm still watching for curiosity's sake. I dont really hate the show per say, but its not one of those anime that I'm anxiously waiting for every week. What I do like about it is the fact that it seems to be at least an actual sequel to the original SS, where lots of similar faces are returning and such.

Well, after I finally got used to the art style (can't help, I just don't find it nice), I started paying more attention to the story, because that's what always keeps me watching/reading. Even if the story itself isn't most original or innovative, it doesn't really matter to me as long as it's told in a way to keep my interest and involve me somehow. While Omega... gods, its' storytelling is such a crap :/ It's boring and uninvolving, aside from some decent moments... So why watching? Again, as it was said before: it's a story in SS universe. So no matter how crappily or lousily told, I'd like to know this story. But hell, they're not going to see any of my money for something like this - I'd rather save it for anything else from the franchise. LC, for example. And as long as we don't see any reliable statement, I want to assume that 3rd season will be made. SS's not dead!!

The same like others:
1. Because no matter how bad it is, it's still Saint Seiya, as a SS fans i'll always try to experience every merchandise of this franchise (except the Myth clothes stuffs, i just don't like spending real money on action figure and i heard some are quite overpriced), even something like Episode G (which the art i hated). 2. I want to see more about the 5 Bronzes and Athena and few other old characters. 3. This is what i liked about Omega, after all Episode G and LC stuffs where it's called Saint Seiya but there's no actual Seiya in it,Omega has Seiya in it. What's more? Finally Seiya is a gold saint, and all the 5 Bronzes have become a legend and respected unlike in the original where the villains are just too stupid to look at those 5 Bronzes feats (defeating the golds and marinas) and still saying "A mere Bronze Saint couldn't do anything to me!" 4. In LC and Episode G, it's all about Gold Saints fighting (yer... Tenma is a Bronze too but he's not treated as a mere Bronze, since both Athena's and Hades' side keep boasting how Tenma is a god slayer and stuffs), but in Omega finally we have the classic low level/class main characters that's kicking butts those who are generally in higher level/class, i just love to see law breaking stuffs like that.

omega isn't canon right?
Some times (like during ep12) I wish it was canon. I question some of the decisions in Omega (mainly the clothstones and the elemental cosmos) but at the end of the day, I'm enjoying it and I'm glad that it's keeping the Saint Seiya series going. Also, it fulfilled a 15 year old dream of having Seiya as the official Sagittarius Saint.

I like Omega. It does a pretty solid job of connecting the original series and has great nostalgic moments with old saints. I already watch Naruto so a rock paper scissors elemental system is fine. Even then, i feel like the elemental system makes sense in Omega and they have done a nice job connecting it to the old series.
Aside from all that, they have pretty much rehashed all the themes from the original series. Kouga is basically seiya, eden is Ikki, Pretty sure Mars daughter is Shaina rehashed...the comparisons are a long list indeed.

My number one reason for watching it is for any glimpse of the original characters. With my lack of being able to complete the original, and the small moments of is it ND that they show up in... I never see the characters I love! So that is my number one.
Story wise, yeah. It's slow. But it has the same story elements that all the StS incarnations have. Corruption, evil silver saints (seriously... always evil and getting their butts kicked early in the game save a handful) and the Pegasus saint being entirely focused on Athena and that relationship. When you break it down its the same, and I've seen worse.
I actually like watching it every week, but it's the episodes where Shun showed up or with detail into Ryuho's background to catch a glimpse of Shiryu that get me flailing. Now I just need to get some news on Hyoga... haha.
