I think I'm seeing a bull rather than a seagoat. ....no wait. Haaahaaa....seriously that was what I keep thinking the moment I saw the picture and when I watch the RAW last night. Probably due to the size since the 3 Capricorns we know are mostly slender ( and the only Gold Saint that seems to be as big and tall as Taurus is Leo Ilias).

Interesting episode so far. We now have the standard corrupted Gold Saint. A mind controlled "Fake Athena" and now the students of Palestra are going to have to fight the darkness to escape and band together. We have plot movement :3 Though this fake Athena strikes me as the stock female I hate of "I have power I can't use. But look how sweet and innocent I am. Please save me while the world uses me as it pleases. I'm useless on my own." And I really am ready to have someone burn that carriage. I don't know why it bothers me so much, but it does. It just doesn't fit the world :/. I guess Mar's has charmed horses >.<
Though at least we have new bad-ass bronze boy coming in. I am curious about the whole "moving sanctuary" though. More so what the point of it is. Guess we'll find out next week. And I really hope we get some more of our classic characters in soon.

Someone mentioned that the cloths look more metallic in episode 8, actually resembling armors. Here they are... What do you guys think? On an unrelated note, Eden's attack is called "Folgore Renaissance". Even if you know that "folgore" is Italian for "lightning" it is still a weird name. What's with Omega and naming their new attacks?!

I think the helmet looks good on him too. With his huge hair, square jaw and big beard, he would look a little silly with the headpiece (while Shura looks way better in a tiara with his short hair and narrow face).
Now here's a question, what element is Ionia? Which element is the one that allows you to summon a book and make people do stuff with your words? In the original, Ionia would fit right in with the likes of Shaka, but this Saint Seiya Omega where your abilities are dictated by an element.

Well the dark aura around Ionia would suggest Darkness cosmos, but the fact that he summons a book screams Darkness cosmos.
But what would that make Excalibur?

We don't know if Ionia can use Excalibur, but even if he did, that is a special technique given by Athena, I would expect that it couple be used with any element.
pretty sure that was anime only. Excalibur is simply shura's skill. I suspect that Shura would be of the light attribute. Ionia being Shura's master(shoudl that turn out to be the case) doesn't mean they both would posses the same elemental affinity. Nor does it mean he has excalibur.

Man I'm not gona lie, I'm not happy with this revelation. The one thing I hated the most about the original Saint Seiya is how half the gold saints were bad guys and killed off before becoming useful. Next Dimension pulled the same crap and now even Omega makes a gold saint as a villain.
Im really tired of this. I want to see the gold saints shine, not as another throwaway villain never to be cared about again. This is the reason why I hold Lost Canvas in such high regards, it didnt pull the "Gold saints are baddies" route.
Makes me wonder if Shiryu and Hyoga are even gold saints, as well as Ikki and Shun.

I don't see how Shun and Ikki could become Gold saints. Shun needs chain (yes, even if he could launch Nebual Stream/Storm). Being a gold saint kills Ikki's coolness (how his cloth always regenerate by itself). Ionia said that he had already convinced a lot of Saints to join Mars's side. It'd be interesting if there are double agents here, who pretend to work for Ionia, but secretly help Athena's side.
