i designed a comic store mascot.
« on: March 24, 2012, 04:41:37 AM »
my local comic's store wanted something to spice up their logo.

so they requested something to print on a t-shirt alongside their logo.

I designed them their very own mascot, and what would be more fitting than a superhero?

they haven't seen it yet, nor am i posting it elsewhere as there is competition.

here ya go. i'm done with the basic lineart, and will spice it up before march 25 (when it's due)

Its a fine as a standard superhero type. Its probably very fitting and is well drawn.

I wonder if it will stand out enough to win tho...

Wow, looks very nice!

I remember submitting a superhero for my LCS's logo, and the cheapskate owner decided to just not declare a winner. :/

I'm sure it looks good but I can't see any pix you posted :( All I see is a frog in ice logo bearing the words :"Domain Unregistered. To view register at bit.ly/imageshack-domain"

I really like your use of white and black, your line-work is spot on too! It's hard to make these types of images just right.

I think the reason is probably the hero himself. I am not saying it's not a good art, it's actually fantastic but it doesn't fit to a logo. I would have picked that one too. It's plain and simple, doesn't have many details and easier to the customer's eye. It is a logo after all not an actual comic but I understand your intentions behind it.
