I don't know that I would agree.  Different teaching styles.  Roshi has had a LOT more experience than Camus simply due to living longer.  Who is to say that Roshi would not have been defeated by Shiryu much in the same way Hyoga won his battle?  We will never really know, because Roshi's orders to remain at the Rozan Peaks superseded everything else.

Hmm,.. the discussion about gold saints' power is a never-ending question for myself too that's why I asked it on thread "Why The Gold Saints Seems Easily Defeated". But one thing for sure, yes the story focused on bronzes, so it would be odd if Golds more superior than them, true ? XD

And about his coldness, well,.. maybe we should look at it from 2 point of views, the anime and the manga..Because from what you guys so kindly to share the manga pics in here ) -- I assumed Camus is portrayed quite different ?

By the way, I never understand WHY he not answering Milo even a word when Milo fights against Hyoga while speaking to him.

Ah really happy if indeed Camus is the most favourite among the goldies ! If we based on fanfics, it seems Milo that become everybody's favourite, followed by Camus .. and Shaka..

And about his coldness, well,.. maybe we should look at it from 2 point of views, the anime and the manga..Because from what you guys so kindly to share the manga pics in here ) -- I assumed Camus is portrayed quite different ?

Camus attempts to act emotionless and cold in the manga but in fact he ends up portraying the opposite- there are scans where he is training Hyoga in his childhood and you can see in his face that he cares for Hyoga. Let me upload them on Facebook and I'll post them here.

You can clearly see expressions of emotions and concern for Hyoga rather than aloofness.

Credit goes to Nagiseyuu on Tumblr for the banning relationships thing.    I thought it was rather apt.  Poor Degel gets all the hard knocks for being emotional, and Camus gets them for not being emotional enough (in the anime).
