a little bit dissappointed with the ending in manga...but overall...it's a good anime...

I just bought the anime but it was badly subbed, not only just the spelling and the content of the plot but the names of the characters were all mixed up. I hope to find a better one... I liked the Tezuka Zone and Cyclone Smash the best, which also leads to the picnacle of hardwork mode and so on.

darn, the ending was a bit anticlimactic... Yukimura proving to be an impossible opponent while o-chibi taps into the pinnacle of perfection to defeat him was already awesome.  But when they revealed the nature of this technique, it made it sound too simple disproving everything they've been doing up to that point - training hard for what they believe in.

While i appreciate irony in stories, i can't help feeling somewhat let down on this one because after all this time you've been following their concept of tennis and suspending your beliefs on laws of physics... in the end, they tell you there is nothing special here.  Don't get me wrong, this happens in a lot of stories and i can live with that but maybe i just preferred if they allowed the reader to "believe" until the very end.

the part with Echizen beating Nanjiroh, i was hoping he wouldn't :p
well this part for me is just because he's too young.  no problems on that part but come on, Samurai Nanjiroh is the ultimate tennis player, and it's not very glamorous if he's overcome by Echizen on just his first year. mada mada dane... maybe in a couple of years.

I agree that it was a bit disappointing to find out the secret was...nothing.  It felt off to me somehow, since you had to train really hard to get the first few pinnacles...then this.

Hey the anime had Ochibi participating in the US Open and beating tennis pros with ease.   I really didn't like that part...Ryoma is a kid.   A rather arrogant and annoying kid, but just a kid.  He should have to work for a few more years.

Although I will always giggle over Yukimura using some version of the TenBuHoRin in his match.

Watched Prince of Tennis once before and although I liked it, it wasn't really one of my favorite animes since I don't have as much interest in tennis so when I have to get rid of some anime to watch, this was one of my choices. :/

Also, imagining Saga/Kanon or Byakuya singing it = epic.
