Final translation for ND36 done, homework… rushed, so I started translating as much as I could before going to sleep and I made it:D
This is a translation based on Archange's French version
Gaiden 26 - Degel 08 - In the Heart of the Jewel Box
Dégel: It can't be...
Dégel: He managed to counter the Aurora Execution...
Krest: Freezing Shield!!!
Dégel: Freezing Shield?!
Krest: Yes, Dégel. Freezing Shield is the ultimate technique of ice Saints, one that you have yet to learn!
Krest: Even if several Gold Saints combined their forces, they wouldn't be able to destroy it…
Krest: A lukewarm breeze like your stands absolutely no chance!!
Dégel: The Freezing Shield is moving closer!!
Dégel: (And what's more...)
Dégel: My Cloth is freezing!?
Dégel: A Gold Cloth, continuously bathed in sunlight, shouldn't be subject to freezing!!
Krest: That's right. The core of the Freezing Shield is the Absolute Zero.
Krest: The Absolute Zero, -273.15°C, is the temperature where any atomic movement ceases.
Krest: The ultimate cold, capable of doing away with the most powerful of Gold Saints!
Krest: You severely lack experience.
Krest: Then you shall die, Dégel!!
Krest: How sad, Dégel. You were just a fugitive dream yourself.
Krest: Swallowed by the great passing of time.
Krest: Maybe it's for the best.
Krest: The ice of that shield made coffin will keep you alive forever.
Fluorite: Madame Flaille! Hold on! The exit's getting closer!
Fluorite: Lord Dégel has helped us a lot!
Mme Flaille: Kyaah!!
Mme Flaille: Ouch… what was that gust of wind?
Fluorite: So cold… that's Lord Dégel's breath!
Mme Flaille: Could it be that he died fighting Garnet?
Fluorite: Hey!! Don't you say that kind of stuff!
Fluorite: I'm positive Lord Dégel's perfectly fine!
Fluorite: He'll fix everything and return with us.
Fluorite: (You still need to read my father's novel...)
Fluorite: (Don't you Dégel?!)
Garnet: Hee hee hee... come.
Garnet: Our way was the right one after all.
Garnet: You are now rid of your doubts, Krest.
Garnet: Let's build our ideal country together.
Krest: For the sake of eternal peace, Lady Garnet!
Krest: Stand back! The cold air is getting thicker!
Krest: Dégel, did you...?
Krest: That coffin prevents any movement.
Krest: You should have lost consciousness, but still you're creating such a cold air?
Krest: You managed to move inside the Absolute Zero that stops all atomic movement…
Krest: You finally reached that extreme level, Dégel!
Dégel: I am your disciple.
Dégel: No matter how you change, that truth will still hold!
Dégel: I'm ready to take on any of your trainings.
Dégel: But I don't think your solution is right. You can't create a world by sacrificing numerous people to allow its leader to become immortal.
Dégel: I will fight as a dweller of present times…
Dégel: And for the sake of those lying in the basement, and Fluorite's tears.
Dégel: This is what you taught me as a Saint.
Garnet: Wonderfully spoken, Lord Dégel.
Garnet: You're worthy to be the disciple of Krest, my chosen one.
Garnet: You're radiant.
Garnet: It's always painful to see someone like you carried away by the flow of time.
Garnet: But there's no going back.
Garnet: So… it's up to you, Krest!
Dégel: For a moment...
Dégel: I felt the love of a goddess in her.
Dégel: A benevolence similar to yours… that's probably why you chose to serve her.
Krest: Someone like you...
Krest: … will eventually remain binded by his emotions, even while keeping a cold demeanor.
Krest: I too used to think that...
Krest: … this would be sufficient to change the world.
Dégel: Then I'll give you your faith back!
Dégel: With my fugitive life!!
Krest: Come to me, Dégel!
I find it hilarious that Dégel managed to "move inside the Absolute Zero". Not only is it a scientific aberration, but from what Saint Seiya has told us, to break his coffin, Dégel would have to create a cold even colder than the one trapping him – colder than the Absolute Zero, good luck with that. I think Teshirogi failed big time by trying to introduce even more badassness all the time.
I hate having to skip a chapter… and I hope we'll get the raws for the next ones. Especially since from the comments I've read on the spoilers, last chapter really saves the gaiden with an honorable ending. (Well I liked it, but I'm a fanbitch of Dégel… most people were pretty disappointed with it for a long time)
Also, from the translation, I have the feeling Archange rushed this one a bit. There might be a few inaccuracies or mistakes that slipped through… especially since I too worked quickly and didn't check much on the Japanese
Oh, and Garnet's Cloth –♥
ETA: We need to create a topic with the raws and the translation, I think I'll do that tomorrow.
