Even if it was just that Hades liked to be a girly boy, I could accept that reason given how confusing predeterminism is.

This is whom I write for =^_^=

Well, what is the most innocent person you can think of?  A child, usually a little girl or androgenous boy.  Think the cherubs in the Sistine or something along those lines. Shun's appearance, and Arone's, becomes a symbol of their innocence.

that makes sense to me. (looks like girl=fairly innocent)
does not know where, what or who they are. drawn to the dark and fearing the light. what can they do is in the dark. how sad it is to be a lost soul with no where to go.

Believe it or not, I WAS innocent! I was a good boy until i was 19 or so. I didnt go out with friends. I didnt do bad things like smoking, alcohol, I didnt even do porn XD (although at 15 I realzied I might be gay). If I lived in SS world, Hades could have owned me LOL

Well, I believe in destiny. So perhaps it's SHun's destiny to be Andromeda. Thus he had oure soul for Hades to occupy. Everything is predestined :) even in manga plot :) Pandora knew it also, I think. That's why she placed the medallion.

I have the same thoughts actually! When I was first watching the anime and the bronzies (as children) were drawing cards on which island they were to go to, I rolled my eyes when each one coincidentally picked out the place relevant to them. (Hyoga will train in Russia, Shiryu in China oh wow how creative) And even when they explained it was destiny I wasn't buying it. Now, when Shun randomly gets Death Island and Ikki forces himself in Shun's place instead, they warned he was interfering with fate (though Kido decided it perhaps may very well be fate itself).

Fast forward to when I got to the Hades arc and they revealed Shun was Hades. Later on, I remembered that very early scene and all of a sudden, I had a realization. "Holy sh**, Shun was literally meant to Death Island!!! They were right about those cards being fate!!!" And it might not be a big deal, but it BLEW my friggin mind.

Something that boggles my head even more is when I question: Was Ikki interfering with fate; or was Ikki changing the predicament fate itself?

1. Fast forward to when I got to the Hades arc and they revealed Shun was Hades.

2. Something that boggles my head even more is when I question: Was Ikki interfering with fate; or was Ikki changing the predicament fate itself?

1. To be fair Shun was never Hades, he was only the vessel for Hades's soul. Eventually, Hades's soul would have devoured Shun's soul. But why did Masami choose that Hades had to take the purest soul...it makes no sense. Maybe because it sounds exciting for evil corrupting something pure? No idea.

2.  I don't think that Ikki was interfering with Fate but rather than it was part of the Fate. Let's face it, the Clothes choose who is going to be the inheritor and not the other way around and since the Phoenix Cloth had never had any owner before but Ikki, it makes you think that it was...the Fate of the Stars...or at least something like that. :P

Dunno if her "big sister" title was ever mean to be that serious.

Like, correct me hardcore if I'm wrong, Hades arc was pretty trippy anyway, but I have this memory of... young Pandora carrying some swaddled swirling mass of cosmo around?

I just have no idea if that was supposed to be actual even from the past or not. That supposedly mass of cosmo came from her mother's babymaking parts and suddenly everyone was dead and at some point somehow like 5 years old Ikki waders about Germany with baby Shun, just so he can refuse her offer to kinda meld their lil' bros into one super deadgod lil bro???

Ahem, obviously Hades is god and Pandora is not, so their siblinghood, if it has any real significance, is based on something else than flesh and blood.

On and on the road does go
down into the depths below...

Yup, she had Hades' soul in a swaddling cloth. Man, I loved that arc.
