Impossible! They can't end the anime on cliffhanger!

But then again wasn't the same for Hades saga in the original SS when rumors said there weren't going to be anymore episodes after the first 13 Sanctuary ones? And then boom! They finish the entire saga (even if it was poorly done).

It's OVA you need to pay more to get more. The problem though with Infer/Elysion even if they made it people was not having it because of the poor quality. It didn't deserve the title of OVA... Not that every OVA title has great quality but after Hades Sanc to release that crap was just stupid... : |

I thought the Inferno episodes weren't too bad. They looked cheaper compared to Sanctuary but it did stick with the manga and some scenes were still effective (Rune's scene and Shun turning to the dark side, Wailing Wall). It was nice seeing stuff from the manga being animated.

Elysion was just beyond horrible. Fights were reduced to mainly close up face reactions that powerpoint from one side to the other. You know they have no budget when they can't even recycle running animation.

Someone else has posted it with a source on this site and there has not been news in months so it is most likely true.

Unless it's officially announced by TMS themselves, I will not believe such rumors especially when it was announced outside Japan.


Anyhow the SS Franchise is busy with SS Omega now and there is still "time" for the usual "Rest Period" between each season so will wait till Official news is released.

Do animation houses ever officially announce a cancelled series? I always have the feeling they and manga publishers are very poor communicators, like when Episode G went on hyatus and Akita didn't reply to any email on the subject.

Anyway, the LC staff has been moved to Zetman, so no new series at least as long as Zetman continues.

In my opinion the fact that the staff has been moved to Zetman barely affect the fate of the Lost Canvas anime at all. The anime will only last for a season and it doesn't receive rather good reviews either, as far as I have heard.

Also, shouldn't people be used to the slow pacing of the series already? Just because it gets a rather long break doesn't at all mean that it is cancelled.

Really, why should they want to renew it?
It costs a lot of money to make and sells poorly. Its merchandising was basically limited to a few towels, a couple of puzzles and two myth cloths, which, according to pretty much every myth cloth forum, were so badly received that plans for more were scrapped. The LC manga gaidens are either outside the top-30 or towards the bottom when they do make it inside. New chapters have gone from weekly to monthly.
They should just pull the plug.

@Shiryu, The majority of anime are. They take huge amounts to make and only after years have past that they will be able to make profits...if they are lucky.

It's OVA. They can take as long as they want unless you have the official side saying we have "zero interest" in continuing. I have yet to see real sources that say that...

if the Japanese would just change their minds about foreing releases and spread Saint Seiya to the world, it has probably 10 times more fans in South America, Latin Europe and other parts of the world than there...
