i think the reason i do not like the character is mainly the fact that it is a one man show. lost canvas is about the pegasus saint no doubt, but there are breaks, and a nice one at that, in between. an overdose of the flyin mule... too much. if i wanna see a one man show, i woulda plug my tv up with the antena and watch kobe and the lakers.

I hate Seiya for this one reason: he thinks he is above all, and everybody. And that's he's this superman-kinda like figure.

But you know what? He has good qualities (: for example, he's the driving force behind the bronze saints. And his devotion to  Saori/Athena is remarkable. Because of that, he deserves some respect.
However, the emphasis put on him, is like... over-the-top (:

He's definitively this superman-kinda like figure. But I won't say he thinks he's above all. He's full of himself, but he's not really the type to compare him to someone or something else.
But yeah, his over-confidence is boring ^^;

And I'm a bit agree with Raigami about the one-man-show aspect of the canon story.

About Seiya's confidence... Would Seiya be better if he was a Sailor Moon-like clumsy crybaby? I don't think so. That would be even worse!!!

I don't think he's full of himself, he just tries to as brave and strong as possible, just like everybody else.

Yeah, my words were a bit too hard.
What I wanted to say is Seiya is not the type to be pessimistic. He knows his strength, he's a bit over-confident about it.
It's nothing like pride, maybe some carefree behaviour.

Indeed he tries to be as brave and strong as possible, but that's not like he feel like missing strength. It's closer to the improvement concept.

At least it is how I see him ^^
