The ultimate guide to Specters (by Amarashiki)
« on: September 01, 2009, 01:29:41 AM »
Hi everybody

I'm working on this list since a very long time. I'm always expanding it and I think it's now nearly complete and I can start to upload it to your entertainment ;)

This is the most complete list of Specters available and I put in a lot of hard work. I want to thank Shiryu (for working everything out with me and his own homepage), Nicole (for crossreading my list), Phil & Tetsu (for adding missing ones and your work you've done before with your lists)
to the finalisation and clarification of every single Specter to date ;)

I also want to thank Marco Albiero, Jaxom, Wang & Cerberus_Rack for their artwork

The pictures are taken from my excel file where I list all appearances in Manga/Anime. I also got a pdf document where I list all of them in book form, with additional informations and if anyone is interessted I can send him the rapidshare link

For the list. I made four columns for every saga one for Manga and one for Anime appearance. For the well known Specters I only added the cloth schematic as we don't need to know where the first encounter was. For all others you can see where they came from. For the Lost Canvas saga I added an additional information field so they are easier to recognize. The other ones should be clear from where they came

Now let's start with it ;)

Edit: The information in the last column aren't completed yet, there is a gap between chapter 100 and 130 which I am filling time after time...so it is possible that not all appearances are writen down yet...and also I just entered the first chapter respectively per story arc. So if someone is appearing 10 chapters one after another I just took the first one. Allthough this is more important for the no-name Specters which all should've been completed by now

Edit 2: If anyone could provide screenshots of the Specters shown in LC OVA 3 & 4 I don't allready have, I would gladly take them into the list ;)

The Celestial Stars

Wyvern   Radamanthys   Celestial Fierce Star

Griffon   Minos   Celestial Noble Star

Garuda   Aiacos   Celestial Valiance Star

Acheron   Charon   Celestial Expansion Star

Minotaur   Gordon   Celestial Prison Star

Troll   Iwan   Celestial Defeat Star

Balrog   Lune    Celestial Wise Star

Sphinx   Pharaoh   Celestial Bestial Star

Lycaon   Phlegyas   Celestial Crime Star

Araune   Queen   Celestial Demonic Star

Golem   Rock   Celestial Target Star

Deadly Beetle   Stand   Celestial Repulsion Star

Basilisk   Sylphid   Celestial Victory Star

Harpy   Valentine   Celestial Wailing Star

Behemoth   Violate   Celestial Solitude Star

Mandrake    Fyodor   Celestial Injury Star

Bennu   Kagaho   Celestial Violence Star

Nasu   Veronica   Celestial Ultimate Star

Necromancer   Byaku   Celestial Spirit Star

Genbu   Gregor   Celestial Fleeing Star

Hanuman   Tokusa   Celestial Wisdom Star

Mephistopheles   Yoma   Celestial Chief Star

Owl   Partitia   Celestial ..... Star

Those guys were only seen in Castle Einstein. Marco made some great schematics ;)
Thanks to Tetsu I have reconsidered and from the subordinate thing they are most propably Celestials

Castle Specter 1 (generally known as Quetzalcoatl Gabriel)

Castle Specter 2 (generally known as Ahuizotl Luca)

Castle Specter 3 (generally known as Manticore Steve)

Castle Specter 4 (generally known as Rubicon Gerald)

Those guys were only seen in the background and don't have a name, but we can assume they must be Celestials

Celestial Specter 28 (no suggestions made, some say he resembles a Samurai Specter)

Celestial Specter 29

And those were only seen resurrected. Given the count of 71 Terrestrial Specters I suggest them to be Celestials. Also they weren't seen annihilated by only one blast like so many other no name Specters we had to count as Terrestrials

Celestial Specter 30

Celestial Specter 31

Celestial Specter 32 (no suggestions made, some say he resembles a Vulture Specter)

Celestial Specter 33 (no suggestions made, some say he resembles a Viking Specter)

So only 3 Celestial Specters left to be shown

here comes the great bunch of Terrestrial Specters from the classic line. Like I said before, many don't even have a name and a star but counting that they were killed without much problem they have to be counted as Terrestrials ;)

Terrestrial Specters

Cyclops   Gigant   Terrestrial Violence Star

Papillon    Myu   Terrestrial Charming Star

Deep    Niobe   Terrestrial Darkness Star

Bat   Wimber   Terrestrial Judgment Star

Cait Sith   Cheshire   Terrestrial Bestial Star

Sylphe   Edward   Terrestrial Flying Star

Now the guys who invaded Sanctuary

Sanctuary Specter 14 (generally known as the Ant Specter or Urukai Specter, depending who is drawing the fanart) officially it's only a variation of Specter 10

Sanctuary Specter 15 (no suggestions made, some say he would be another Orc Specter) absent from Manga so canonicity is not clear

Sanctuary Specter 16 (no suggestions made, some say he resembles a Goblin Specter) absent from Manga so canonicity is not clear

Here is Kanon's opponent in the death valley

Terrestrial Menacing Star (地威星, Chi'isei) (generally known as Squid Pezzi)

Death Valley Specter 2 (no suggestions made yet)

Death Valley Specter 3 (no suggestions made yet)

Terrestrial Spirit Star (地霊星, Chireisei) (no suggestions made, some say he's an Ogre like Specter)

Rio Cocytos

Terrestrial Shiny Star (地明星, Chimeisei)  (generally known as Louse Leo)

Terrestrial Reason Star (地理星, Chirisei)  (generally known as Gigant Echtelion)

Terrestrial Strong Star (地数星, Chisūsei) (no suggestions made yet, some sort of bird Specter)

and here the LC ones (no special names here, as all are without name and star)

This guy was only seen in the Manga as companion of Giganto, later he was seen resurrected in the Anime

some say he ressembles a Cricket Specter

some say he ressembles a Nightmare Specter

some say he ressembles a Cockatrice Specter

doing the best I can...the same thing for Saints is in the work, but there it is much more difficult as I have to guess which no-name Saints from LC could be what constellation and where we can erase doubles and add one time shown Saints from the classic series ;)

Ooh fantastic! I love how you got pictures of them all.
Though i have four corrections for you ^^

Sanctuary Specter 1 is an early design for the Frailty star Specter

Sanctuary Specter  8 is also an early design, this time of Elf Mills

Sanctuary Specter 12 is actually just an early design of Dullahan Cube

Sanctuary Specter 14 is the same one as Sanctuary Specter 10

A good thing to remember is that there were only 17 specters invading the sanctuary, thus removing the ones that got names, Myu, Raimi, Gigant, Niobe, Mills ,Ox ,Gordon. Leaves only 10 Specters left. ^^

Another one that i've been checking up on is Wall Specter 3 and 4 is most likely supposed to be the same person. Nr 3 being a more elaborated version so that he doesn't resemble the Accusal star Specter too much. Only five of the wall Specters got stars, so he's out of luck there anyway most likely xD

thank you very much. all their attacks, their stories and whom they were defeated by are collected in the presentation I made for myself. this is the appendix to this list were all pictures are compared ;)

thanks for your detailed information (didn't know that with the early designs)...for the Sanctuary Specters....I went with Marco Albiero (and partialy with Nicole) and thus differented the guys, he made the following schematics

I really wanted to honor his work. Shiryus and mine intention always was to bring all different medias into one continuity, so we are counting every single guy as an own Specter. That was also the reason for the wailing wall guy.  You are right he is clearly the same guy as the one from the Manga wasn't there in the Anime (this time I knew that *g*). But anyway, thank you for your thoughts ;)
