I contacted Akita Shonen and asked for confirmation. Here is what they replied

We are not told anything, too.
Mr. Kurumada wrote "It will come to light soon."
on his website.
Please wait for his announcement.

IMO, the last sentence reads "it's true but we can't officially announce it yet" ^^

Evolucion de Seiya actualmente es hacer Lost Canvas para quiza terminar en primavera de 2009 (si es necesario) y Next Dimension continuara en primavera de 2009 con capitulos semanales, esto es plan hasta ahora y puede cambiar. Seiya Staff quiere hacer serie para television de Lost Canvas, episodio cada semana, al momento se ha comentado entre staff sobre produccion en HDTV 16:9. De acuerdo a toripon, se ha elaborado un layout animado con escenas antes mencionadas aca en ICEPLANET y una escena de 'enlace' entre Eliseos y Lost Canvas, quiza sea mostrada en JumpFesta pero su produccion quiza sea para abril y no marzo, depende de Seiya Comite y sponsors, y son (sin confirmacion): Bandai, Columbia Music y Akita.

Tambien toripon escribio desde LA a 11:30am (hora de Los Angeles), ya se dio la grabacion con orquesta, tambien visitaron Santa Monica, y fueron a un centro de guitarras (recordar imagen de blog de gran maestro) para utilizar en segunda sesion de grabacion de musica.

Lost Canvas maybe ending in spring? Well, i wonder if Teshirogi can pack in everything in there. =o

ND weekly chapters? YEsh! Possibly to follow the LC anime, which possibly means that Saint Seiya Forever will include both ND and LC! x3

Well, Spring 2009 would mean about 20 more chapters - I guess it should be manageable, if you consider how many of Hades' more powerful minions are gone by now (Thanatos, Minos...) - and from the Goldies we are only missing Leo and Gemini now.

I don't know, 20 chapters is a bit over 2 volumes. In this time, she would have to get rid of Gemini, Leo, Sagitter, Pandora and Aiacos, solve the potential mistery of Kagaho's identity, bring Dhoko back, show the final battle and seal Hades.
It's quite a lot, considering the Oneiroi on their own lasted roughly 18 chapters...

My point is, if LC starts in spring, who the hell said SHE has to be FINISHED  by then?
