@Tragic Taco

Well, so far we don't really have any real formatting rules. Maybe you could discuss this with Tetsu and Gomess?  I'm not really an expert on Wiki stuff, so I guess you three might be the better choice  about how to set up the articles. If you like, I can give you mod rights like Tetsu and Gomess as you seem to have done quite some stuff at Wikipedia before, then you have more control over the project.

I'm sure Tetsu would agree with me that Tragic Taco would be a great addition to the mods, what with the enthusiasm shown for correcting Wiki's foolishness. X]

As for article formatting, I certainly have some ideas (mostly identical to Wikipedia's, to be honest), but not the means or time to do it at the mo. =[ I also haven't done proper Wiki formatting for a good while, so (as you can see from my articles; Fenrir, Shaka, Lune, Kassios, Seiya) I'm rusty / lazy.

...I'm sure I've asked this before, but what does everyone think of the tone of Seiyapedia so far? I really will fight to keep Seiya's profile image and its caption, so. =p It seems you guys are mostly cool with it, as I see from Sion's article (who put that up anyways??). I can even let my problem with the "Shion" spelling go on account of it.  :shion-gold: Xp

Thought so. Now Taco just has to sign up then I can assign the rights. :)

And I think standard Wikipedia formatting should be fine. Just we want to have better content :P
BTW, I'd say it's fine so far - it just needs to be filled ^^

OK, all signed up over there. :D

Well, if it makes the general effort much more efficient, then I'll happily accept the mod position. I'm gonna need a couple of days to look over the 'pedia and become familiar with how you guys operate it, so that I don't accidently cross wires with anyone.

As for my inquiry about formatting, well, I'm looking at the Deathmask (sample?) page right now. I think it would be much easier if we stick with Wikipedia's template because that is how I've saved most of my articles. But if the Deathmask template is more preferable, then I can certainly convert them to that.

And Gomess.. oh yes, don't even get me started on my disdain for the StS stuff on Wiki right now. To say that I've been disappointed with their users and their actions is a huge understatement. I'll refrain from going into details, but I felt they hit rock bottom when one guy tried to justify his edit by claiming that all foreign language translations of the series is automatically invalid because the Spanish or the Portuguese translation had a few errors or something. :\

Anyway, enough about that. Looking forward to working with you guys!

Well, he had to learn it from somewhere...

@TragicTaco

Okay, you are now both Bureaucrat and Sysop at Seiyapedia. Use the power wisely, young padawan!

About the DeathMask "Template" - don't take that as default. I just had a text about DeathMask at hand and wanted to look how this MediaWiki stuff works, so I used that. As I had never before worked with any Wiki software, this was my very first attempt. ^^

I think as you three (Tetsu, Gomess, Taco) are the Wiki pros, you should come up with a nice format/template system and then use that!

Power? Looks like I've got the higher ground now!! XD

Okie dokie, I've created the Ikki page as an experiment. I figured that since there are already five or so pages using a similar format, I shouldn't stray too far until we've gathered everybody's opinions. But for now, the Ikki page consists of a combination of the stats and the info that I had previously written for Wiki. Please take a look and comment!

I love the entertaining titles of the chapters XD

I think keeping the tone of Seiyapedia light like that would very much please me!

Ah, definitely, and I'm all for the good humor. I was cracking up when I noticed all the profile pictures and captions on the Seiyapedia, especially Seiya's and Fenrir's.

I can see that this is gonna be fun!

especially Seiya's and Fenrir's.

Sssankyeww! X] Nice work on the Ikki page too, I like how you put in the name translation... Maybe everyone should have a "Name meaning" section? Some, like say, Deathmask's and Moses', might take longer than a couple words. Especially considering that "Mask of Thanatos" grave that's oh-so-obvious in The Hades. Gah, and then there's Sion/Shion and Aiolos/Aioros. >_<

Oh, and can I suggest that the Special Techniques section have actual headings for each move? It's very rare a StS move doesn't have a proper name (I'm the one who goes to hell and back translating filler characters' move names, for gawd's sake), so for quick reference / neatness, I figured that'd be nice. ^-^ Plus, some moves need name translations and case notes too, e.g. Sekishiki Meikaiha (explaining Praesepe's significance), Rouzan Shouryuha (Mt. Lushan), etc.

Hey Gomess! :D

Well, both ideas are solid, and I went ahead and incorporated those additions to the Ikki page. Feel free to play around with the page if you see anything you want to add or change!

Oh, and there's no way I'm touching Sion/Shion or Aiolos/Aioros with a ten foot pole. >_> lol.

Awesome. And it seems Jaeger/Jagger has joined the ranks of the disagreeable StS names, not that most people care about lowly Silver Saints. X] But Seiyapedia does!

Once I'm back on a better computer next week-ish, I'll add a BUNCH of new character articles. Especially Silvers, and anime-only guys. =3

I.. I don't even remember who this Jaeger/Jagger fellow is. But if I have to comment, I'd choose "Jaeger" because it looks cooler than "Jagger". *shrugs*

I'm gonna go work on Seiya and Hyoga. My goal is to have at least all five of the main bronze saints up by the end of the week. :D

EDIT #1: Seiya's and Hyoga's articles are up!
EDIT #2: Shun's and Shiryu's articles are also done!

Yeahh, seems I lost the Jagger/Jaeger match to Shaina and AE, too. I don't get it! But then, I also think I'm one of only two-or-so people on the board who knows how Eris said his name... >.> *sulks in corner* I'll bow to popular opinion, probably, but put the Romaji in his article, so people will see that it's pronounced "Jaga" and hopefully come round to my side. Xp

Great work on the articles so far, I hope to add plenty more images (especially non-Wikipedia ones) to them over the coming weeks... One thing though, an official Jump poll did determine Shiryu was the most popular of the five main Bronzies, in Japan at least. Don't got the citation myself, but I saw it with my own two eyes, and at least putting it that way sounds a little more official than "may be the second or third most popular". =3

Oh, and remember that funny captions aren't just for the first picture of every article. Laugh it up all you like. Matter of fact, I intend to have images of every technique and armour going in Seiyapedia by the time of its completion, hence why I put links to specific Cloths and such. Techniques having their own articles might be a bit much, and if we need to show different folks who've used them throughout the ages, that can just come under an armour's article (e.g., Pegasus Bronze Cloth's article would detail its entire history, from creation to Tenma(s) to Seiya, and its evolution into a Kamui, specifying that both Tenmas, and Seiya, used it in their training to perfect Ryuseiken et al).

...Hmm, plot hole I'd never noticed before... Marin taught Seiya the Ryuseiken, but previous Pegasus Saints knew it too. Maybe it's more a common move than we thought? >_>

@Gomess

Your argumentation goes for the sound, mine and AE's goes for the meaning. If we would follow your line, then it would be necessary also to write "Kigunasu" instead of "Cygnus", "Kamyu" instead of "Camus", "Desumasuku" instead of "DeathMask" etc.

Nuuu, because Jagger is a real forename (and rather famous surname), a derivative of Jaeger which also means 'hunter'. That's been my argument all along, but I don't think anyone believes me... ;__;

But like I say, it seems the majority prefer Jaeger for its appearance, so I'm ok with bowing to popular opinion if the actual kanji can be discussed in an addendum. Same goes for Aiolos/Aioros and Sion/Shion (the latter being a battle I've already lost X]).
