I read a rumor that Thriller is a tribute to MJ's Thriller song and that Jango is a tribute to MJ and thats why he always moonwalks.
Oda has tons of real life references in One Piece.

That's one of the things that makes it totally great. And I'm really hoping that Brook joins the crew... because then the group will be perfectly set for the Blackbeard vs. Straw Hat smackdown, with Brook vs. Lafeit (sp?)

My only fear that Brook won't join the crew is that Kuma is going to teleport (or whatever it does when he sends some to where they most want to be) Brook to the lighthouse and Laboon instead.
I think that's a little too obvious, however, especially for Oda.

Indeed. I know a lot of people were expecting Kaku to be able to turn into a Monkey-Man, what with all the times people called him a mountain monkey in the Water 7 arc... and instead we get the world's most lethal giraffe.

I'd say they should make Luffy a Shinchibukai that way there shouldn't be a problem of him attacking another one.
But, after Enies Lobby and still having Robin withing the crew the World Government wont allow it.
Plus Blackbeard is one now too.

I don't think they can make Luffy a Shinchibukai as he challenged the Government. Plus, his father is a revolutionist.... He has one weird family. xD However, for some reason they always leave out the mother. o.o

The anime is pretty good and it seems kinda crazy on the how the plot is. ^^

Compared to some anime I've looked into, One Piece is really quite tame.
Like in Devilman Lady, where just looking at a monster can turn you into one.
