Press conference in Brazil by Toei...
« on: November 29, 2007, 03:59:47 AM »
From www.cavzodiaco.com.br:

Last 23rd November, Kaz Yamashita, director of Toei Animation and Yosuke Kobayashi, president and CEO of Toei Animation went to Brazil where they tried to learn more about the licensing of anime in Brazil and to take care of some contracts renovation, blah, blah, blah... not very interesting to us rest of the world, EXCEPT:

During a press conference a few interesting answers were giving regarding the future of both manga and anime for Saint Seiya.

Regarding Elysium:
Kaz Yamashita said that the expectations are high and although he is not working directly in its production, he has backstage info saying there will be 6 episodes, although there could still be some modifications that would alter that number.

Regarding Tenkai or any other sequel
Kaz responded that Toei is always interested and available to continue Saint Seiya but the first step must always come from Saint Seiya's creator, Masami Kurumada.

Regarding Lost Canvas and Episode G
Kaz replied pretty much the same way as before (Toei is always interested... ) and despite Lost Canvas and Ep. G being published by Akita Shoten and not Shueisha, there shouldn't be any problem coming from there regarding a possible animation of those sagas - Toei has a good relation with both editorial companies.

So, that's pretty much it. Not much new except that there should be 6 episodes in Elysium, nothing is really decided regarding a sequel, and there are no special restrains to Toei regarding a possible animation of Lost Canvas and Ep. G due to they being published by Akita Shoten.

Silence is of great profit.
An abundance of speech profiteth nothing.
